Fatima Haram Acyl

More than 15 years of experience driving
strategic change at the highest level in both
private and public institutions. Currently, she
serves as Commissioner for Trade and
Industry at the African Union Commission
where she has championed key elements of
Agenda 2063, including launching the
Negotiations for the African Continental Free
Trade Area (CFTA) and establishing the
African Minerals Development Centre
(AMDC). Before joining the Commission, Mrs.
Acyl acquired a wide range of dynamic public
and private sector experience, including:
Deputy Director General of the Agricultural
Bank of Chad; Director of Finance and
Administration at the United Nations Office
for Project Services (UNOPS); Audit Manager
at CroweChizek and Company LLC, USA; and
Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, USA.
Mrs. Acyl has an MBA in Finance, with
Honors, from Xavier University, Cincinnati,
Ohio, USA and a BS in Business
Administration (Operational Research) from
the University of Moncton, New Bruns wick,
Canada. She is fluent in English, French, and
Arabic.
