Experience in international development assistance including with US Agency for International Development, World Bank, InterAmerican Development Bank; worked in China, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan and most countries in Latin America. Formerly: Research Associate, Institute Associate and Fellow, Harvard Institute for International Development; Faculty Member, Universidad Central de Venezuela; Senior Education Specialist, World Bank. Since 1997, with Harvard Graduate School of Education: teaches courses on relationship between education policy, democratic citizenship and instructional improvement; research in Brazil and Mexico focusing on impact of education policy, education leadership and teacher professional development on literacy competencies, citizenship and advanced cognitive skill.
