Ning (Cathy) Gao is the incoming curator of Hangzhou Hub. She's an investment director at a sovereign wealth fund, where she’s responsible for new investments and overseas acquisition in areas including intelligent manufacturing, healthcare and natural resources. Prior to her current role, she had years of experience on Wall Street with Blackstone, Credit Suisse and PwC Advisory.
She cares about causes including rehabilitation of intellectually challenged children and female empowerment. She is the chair of the Young Professional Committee at CKGSB’s North America, and a core member of the Chinese Entrepreneur Organization in New York. She also serves as a program manager of Child Guidance Centre (an NGO based in Hyderabad, India).
Cathy graduated from Columbia University, where she studied Economics and Statistics. She currently resides in Hangzhou, China. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, rock climbing and eating tacos.
