Formerly held various parliamentary and executive senior positions. Participated in the founding of the Democratic Party 20 years ago. 2005-08, Minister of Education and Sciences; 2008-09, Deputy Prime Minister of Albania. 2009, re-elected Member of Parliament and appointed Minister for Innovation and Information Communication Technology of Albania, in charge of the information society and telecommunications, "Digital Albania" being a clear priority the government.
