Gloriana is a passionate Human Rights activist specializing on economic, social and cultural rights. She has worked with ngo’s, multilateral organizations and with several Costa Rican public institutions.
She is co-leading the Bridge to Decent Work plan of action, a national initiative that addresses poverty and vulnerability on the labor market. This initiative is a part of the goverment’s National Strategy for the Reduction of Extreme Poverty.
Since 2018, she has worked in the National Training Institute as an advisor for the Executive Presidency, procuring the elimination of barriers that lead to social and educational exclusion of the most vulnerable populations. Glo is also the Vice president of the Board of Directors of the Women’s National Institute, where she promotes policies to end the unemployment gender gap by facilitating women’s access to the right to education and decent work. She has previously worked as a consultant and election observer with the Organization of the American States as well an advisor to the Ministry of Human Development and Social Inclusion. She studied International Relations with an emphasize on International Cooperation and holds a MA in International Law and Human Rights.
