Gregg Melinson

Gregg Melinson serves as Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In this role, Melinson manages an interdisciplinary global team of professionals in government relations, sustainability, aviation, brand security and integrity, and corporate philanthropy – all of whom come together to protect and grow the company's revenue and reputation as a leading global corporate citizen. Prior to his current role, Melinson held several roles at HPE and Hewlett-Packard, having served as Vice President for Global Government Affairs and Deputy General Counsel.Before joining Hewlett-Packard, Melinson was Chief Marketing Partner at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, then a 700-lawyer national law firm headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, where Melinson led all strategic client development activities and helped double firm revenue between 2005 and 2010. A 20-year veteran at DBR, who founded and led the DBR Government Affairs practice, Melinson took time from the firm to serve as deputy general counsel to former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge from 1995 to 1997. In that capacity, Melinson represented Governor Ridge and other administration officials in federal and state court litigation, while also overseeing the work of several hundred lawyers in the Governor's Office of General Counsel. (Ridge went on to serve as the first Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security). Melinson has a long and distinguished record of civic and charitable engagementin Pennsylvania and California, and he has written and spoken on a number of topics, including economic competitiveness, international business strategy, election law, and advocacy in administrative rulemaking. Melinson has lectured at the Stanford University Directors College on the role of boards in overseeing corporate political activity. Melinson was also a frequent political commentator in the Greater Philadelphia area, regularly appearing on local television and radio broadcasts to discuss the political landscape and other current topics.
