Graduate Engineer, Food Technology. 1981-89, responsible for R&D / Quality Assurance (QA), Quaker Oats and Royal Canin, Germany. 1990, joined Metro Germany to set up QA for the food business in Germany. Developed QA at METRO into an international department, covering the whole food and non-food business and assuring fulfilment of legal and company requirements in the stores. Jan. 2011, became Head of Corporate Sustainability & Regulatory Affairs, including the representation of METRO GROUP at international institutions such as the World Economic Forum and The Consumer Good Forum (TCGF).
