Hanzade Doğan is a serial entrepreneur, experienced leader of blue-chip companies, philanthropist committed to social impact and an active voice on global issues. As a pioneer of e-commerce and technology businesses in Türkiye, she founded Hepsiburada, steered its rapid growth as the first NASDAQ-listed Turkish company and completed the high-profile sale of her controlling stake in 2025.
She is the Founder and Chairwoman of Nesine the country’s most widely used sports betting platform and D4 Ventures, an investment vehicle in the technology industry which she launched in the UK in 2020. As of February 1, 2025, Hanzade Doğan has taken office as Chairwoman of Doğan Group of Companies, one of Türkiye’s leading conglomerates with diversified operations in several major industries.Throughout her career Doğan has led blue-chip Turkish companies. From 2003 to 2007 she chaired Doğan Publishing, then Türkiye’s largest publishing company in circulation terms. From 2006 to 2010 she was Board member and then Chairwoman of Petrol Ofisi, Türkiye’s leading fuel-products distribution company and second largest corporation by revenue at that time. From 2012 to 2022 Doğan served as the Chairwoman of Aydın Doğan Foundation where she’s currently serving as a Board member with a vision to expand its measurable social impact. She led the award-winning “Dad Send Me To School” movement that aimed to eliminate barriers to young female education across Türkiye. The Foundation has spearheaded changes in policy; Within 10 years, the national secondary-school registration gap between girls and boys was virtually eliminated. Doğan has been a member of the Brookings Institute Board of Trustees since 2014 and is a regular participant at the World Economic Forum and a Committee Member of its Digital Platforms and Ecosystems Initiative. Fortune Magazine placed her among the “Most Powerful 50 International Women” in 2021.She received a BSc degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and MBA from Columbia University where she sits on the Business School Board of Overseers.
