As Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer, Helena leads Business Development, Portfolio Management, Social Impact, Strategy, and Sustainability disciplines.

Prior to joining Anglo American in 2022, Helena was EVP corporate development for Norsk Hydro ASA, leading strategy, business development, sustainability and technology and innovation, and operating model work.

Helena’s global career spans more than 20 years in the natural resources industry, professional services, consulting, and academia across Europe, Asia and North America, including global head of new business for natural resources at the global head of new business for natural resources at SGS and held several global senior commercial leadership roles at Rio Tinto, including leading corporate strategy.
