Mr Hata began his career at Sony Corporation in 1996 and managed a number of global projects with the electronics giant.

Since 2006, he was part of Sony’s global partnership team with FIFA and spearheaded their global activation strategy which covered all FIFA tournaments including the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

From 2013, he became President of Repucom Japan, a global leader in sports research marketing. He is a recognized figure within the Japanese sports industry and takes part in various types of discussion panels, often speaking at universities and business schools. He serves as a member of the J League Marketing Committee. He earned his bachelor degree in Law at Meiji University.
