Husna Naleer, a Sri Lankan-based blogger, has passionately illuminated the daily struggles faced by the Deaf community through her blog, "Insight into the Deaf World." Due to financial constraints, she had to close the blog in 2024.

Despite the closure of her blog, Husna's experience has continued to shape her advocacy work. Her experience with blog helped her develop the skill of impactful storytelling on the mental health challenges confronting the Deaf and has earned recognition in India. Armed with a degree in English Literature and Linguistics, her passion for writing during university propelled her into a full-time role as a content writer. Husna held the role of a Communications Officer at the Colombo Hub of Global Shapers, where she actively employed her storytelling skills to advocate for meaningful change. The addition of her current role as an impact officer at the Global Shapers Colombo Hub further strengthens her profile and highlights her ongoing commitment to social impact.

She is now an Executive Director and a social media manager at GenUth Initiative working on various initiatives.
