Hyun-gu Cho is the founder and CEO of CT Corp. (formerly Classting), a South Korean AI edtech company he founded in 2012 after starting his career as an elementary school teacher.
He left the classroom with one conviction: humans are Homo docens, the teaching animal — and if technology can help us teach better, it can help us become a better humanity.
That belief built CT Corp. Its platform, Classting AI, pairs a monitored AI sandbox with automated writing assessment and adaptive learning, and is now used in more than 90% of Korea's K–12 schools, with over 4,600 paying for it. Globally, he is building Cognity on a single idea — Making AI Visible: rather than blocking students from AI, it makes their AI use transparent to teachers so it becomes a force for genuine learning.
A former educator, Cho is focused on building AI in education that strengthens, rather than replaces, the role of teachers.
