Imogen Heap

Chief Executive Officer, Mycelia

Recording artist, with interests far and wide connecting back to all things music.

Her main business is Megaphonic for all creative artistic works and engagements. She is the founder, MiMu, a company based around a gestural music glove-based system.

She is currently designing two projects for September 2019 around these gloves:
- A DIY children’s musical gloves, enabling children to experiment music and technology. An experience to be brough in UK schools, where focus on creativity and arts is not in the curriculum anymore;
-Glover, a software which allows the user to use technology and create music without any former specific music software knowledge. It is a customized glove, where technology fits to each individual and focuses around his/her abilities, using movements and gestures to create music and reimagines how one can be a musician. It is also highlighting how the human can emancipate himself from the machine and create without conforming to a machine.

She is also running the "Mycelia, Creative Passport" project, which relates to blockchain and is a database for music industry. More specifically, Mycelia is a non-profit organization that focuses on connecting the dots for the music and tech industries to enable a fair and sustainable music industry ecosystem.

Imogen is also Chief Executive Officer of Featured Artists Coalition, the only UK organization for recording artists in the UK.
