Jacqueline Joseph

Jacqui Joseph is a trailblazer and an active advocate for addressing gender-based violence in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific region. Her work extends to building prevention approaches to addressing violence against women and emerging gender inequality challenges in communities. From small to large projects in the last 6 years working with over 50 urban to remote rural populations in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands while in close coordination with other Pacific island countries (Fiji, Tonga, Cook Islands, Vanuatu, etc).

Jacqui has over 10 years’ experience in implementing community projects in gender and peace work and improving community development efforts. Ms Joseph was recognised in 2017 by the Commonwealth Youth Secretariat for her contribution to the Pacific region. She was also recognised by the International Youth Foundation who awarded her a spot in 2016 as one of the top 20 Laureate Global Fellows program presented in Costa Rica.

In 2019 as part of her strong belief that one should never shy away from challenges, she ran her first marathon in Dublin.
