James Richmond is the former Curator of the Global Shapers Community Bern Hub and a public sector generalist with experience and knowledge in public policy, project management, communications, and business organisation, amongst other fields. In his work he advocates for longtermism, interdisciplinarity, and consensus democracy.
Currently at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property, his previous engagements include Head of a Staff Unit in the COVID-19 Task Force of the Canton of Berne, Switzerland, and collaboration in a non-profit organisation promoting innovation in the Swiss public sector.
He is co-founder of the Youth Parliament of the City of Berne, Switzerland, and has received multiple awards for his contributions as a student representative. James Richmond studied Economics, Politics and International Relations in London.
