Jane Chen is Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Embrace Innovations, a social enterprise created to offer affordable healthcare technologies for women and children around the world. The Embrace Infant Warmer, for example, is an innovative low-cost warmer designed to provide thermal support to pre-term newborns. Costing a fraction of the price of existing solutions, it is being distributed to clinics throughout India. The World Health Organization named it one of the “Top Innovations in Global Health" in 2010. Embrace has received international coverage in CNN, The Economist, TIME Magazine and numerous other media. Prior to Embrace, Chen worked with NGOs on HIV/AIDS in China and Africa. She also worked at the Monitor Group as a management consultant, advising Fortune 500 companies. Chen was selected as one of Forbes' Impact 30 in 2011 and was featured in Dove's "Real Role Models" campaign for women and girls. Chen is also a TED Senior Fellow and Echoing Green Fellow. Chen holds an MBA from Stanford University and a Master's in Public Administration from Harvard University.
