Janet Matos is currently the Director for
Corporate Strategy & Planning at the Bahrain
Economic Development Board (EDB). She
previously held different positions at the EDB
from managing the Chief Executives’ office to
heading the Events department.
Prior to coming to Bahrain Janet’s past
appointments included various sectors in Kuwait,
Dubai and Portugal. In Portugal she was Acting
Country Manager for an International Insurance
company and was part of the consultancy work
with the Government’s Social Security – SME
sector.
During her time at the United Services
Organization (NGO) in Dubai, she was granted
several distinguished medals from the US
Department of Defense in honour of her
contribution.
Janet is an Alumna from IE Business School
(Spain) and holds an International Executive
MBA.
