Jason is a professional computer engineer and licensed environmental planner in the Philippines with 10 years of experience working and consulting in the field of science, technology, innovation, and sustainability.

He holds a Master of Business and Science degree in Biomedical Engineering and Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rutgers University in the US. He has also taken courses on Skills forecasting for the Fourth Industrial Revolution at Griffith University in Australia, Futures Thinking at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in the National University of Singapore, and Intellectual Property at the World Intellectual Property Organization.

He has offered technology and business consultancy to startups, corporations, and organizations, offering his services on business development, digital transformation, technology management, and sustainability. Among key involvements were with PepsiCo in the US, Fujitsu Corporation in Japan, and Secuna Software Technologies in the Philippines.

As a trainer and facilitator, he has shared his expertise in the topics on technopreneurship and intellectual property to 200 university educators and 50 TVET Specialists through various projects with the Commission on Higher Education and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority; topics on Artificial Intelligence, ICT Project Management, Digital Transformation, and Internet of Things for Smart Cities to 2,500 government employees through various programs with the Department of Information and Communications Technology; topics on digitalization to 3,000 Micro Small and Medium Businesses through various programs with the Department of Trade and Industry and the Asia Foundation.

As a researcher, he has raised and managed around Php 50 million worth of research and innovation grants for research on renewable energy transition in Mindanao while also offering access to energy and internet to schools and households in geographically isolated communities. He is also an external technical panel reviewer for research proposals with the Philippine Council on Health Research and the National Research Council of the Philippines.

Outside of his work, he is involved with the Global Shapers Community Davao Hub and Youth4Energy Southeast Asia advocating for stronger youth participation on civic engagement and sustainability.
