Javier Bustos

Director of Studies and Regulation, Asociación Gremial de Empresas Eléctricas

Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University and Master of Arts in Economics from Universidad Alberto Hurtado, Chile. His areas of interest are Energy Economics, Regulation and Development. Since 2015 he works as head of the Prospective Studies and Energy Policy Division in the Chilean Ministry of Energy. He is also adjunct professor at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and Universidad Alberto Hurtado.
Previously he was associate professor at Universidad Mayor Business School and worked as economist in the National Comission of Energy. He has been consultant for the World Bank, the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Chilean Government.
