PhD in Economics, University of Paris. 1982-97, held a series of positions for Standard & Poor's economic and financial information division, DRI (Data Resources), both in Europe and in the US, including Chief Economist and Managing Director. 1997, helped found Global Partners, a US-based consulting firm. 2005, returned to Standard & Poor’s, New York; subsequently moved back to Europe. Member, European Central Bank’s Shadow Council.
