Thirty-year communications veteran; has been active in digital networks, internet-of-things, business/consumer use of technology, business models, privacy/trust, big data, mobility, video/media, optics, data, and transformational networking issues. Currently Founder of the I3 Consortium, a community of users that includes academics, corporations, governments, and private individuals working collaboratively to develop an opensource IOT data stream manager that democratizes IOT applications and devices by creating an open data marketplace. This system serves to break down the data silos that impede IOT network evolution in a way that encourages accelerated market development.
