Jim Pass

Global Head, Municipals and Project Finance, Guggenheim Partners

BA in Diplomatic History and Political Science, University of Pennsylvania. Has been involved in the project finance sector since 1986. Former Managing Director, RBC Capital Markets, heading the firm’s Midwest Region. 2009, joined Guggenheim; responsible for the research, development and implementation of investment strategies for the Firm’s municipal obligations, including tax-exempt and taxable bonds, Build America Bonds and tax-credit bonds; also responsible for building and managing the firm’s military housing and municipal hybrid activities, including infrastructure investing, making the firm a leader in those sectors among institutional investors; with team, successfully grew municipal holdings and was instrumental in launching multiple funds. Has been featured in multiple publications and has spoken to various associations in the industry, including the White House Business Council, Bloomberg Press, Bloomberg Live, The Bond Buyer, National Federation of Municipal Analysts and National Association of State Treasurers.
