JJ Erpaiboon

Global Shaper, Bangkok Hub

JJ is the Chief of Staff of The Radical Fund, supporting the senior management team with operations, strategy, and growth. The Radical Fund is an early-stage VC fund dedicated to investing in and supporting entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia who are rapidly scaling mitigation and adaptation solutions for a climate resilient future.

For the last few years, JJ has been actively involved in the Southeast Asian VC and startup ecosystem, strongly advocating for solving climate- and gender-related issues with a focus on ESG awareness and adoption.

Prior to joining The Radical Fund, she worked with Gobi Partners, a pan-asian VC firm with US$1.5 billion in AUM and 15 funds under management, focusing on investor relations (fundraising/fund formation), PR/marketing, and ESG implementation. She supported fundraising efforts across the firm’s Southeast Asian early-stage to growth-stage funds throughout the whole fundraising lifecycle from fund formation to investor onboarding. Aside from investor relations, she helped to operationalize the ESG Committee and Taskforce teams including the firm’s first Sustainability Report, the design and implementation of due diligence checklists, internal surveys, educational workshops, and driving public-private partnerships. She co-founded the first Asia Gender-Smart Investing (AGI) Forum in 2021 in partnership with UN Women Asia and the Pacific which gathered 34 speakers and over 500 participants across 48 countries, with a second iteration of AGI Series workshops in 2023.

JJ received her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University’s College of Business with a triple minor in hotel real estate, design & environmental analysis, and horticulture sciences. Prior to Gobi, she worked in hotel real estate development in New York City with a special interest in sustainability within built environments and hospitality.
