World Obesity is the global membership organisation on obesity with member organisations in more than 100 countries and in official relations with WHO. Its flagship initiatives include World Obesity Day, the annual World Obesity Atlas, the Global Obesity Observatory, MAPPS research on understanding obesity prevention and management in systems across the globe, and SCOPE-accredited training in obesity science, prevention and management for HCPs and others working in this area across the globe. Johanna is based in Boston and London, a citizen of the US and Sweden, with two decades of experience in global advocacy and noncommunicable diseases. Aumna of Harvard Business School Advanced Management Programme and with lived experience of NCDs including MS. She has a strong interest in the role of non-health actors in advancing health, and has published in journals including BMJ, Lancet, Global Heart, Circulation, Nature, and Obesity Reviews.
