Medical training, Cambridge University and Royal London Hospital; PhD, Imperial College, studying African strains of HIV and their susceptibility to treatment. Gained a Medical Research Council Clinician Scientist Award to work at Oxford University researching HIV evolution and strategies for HIV eradication. Currently leading “CHERUB”, the UK's leading research collaboration dedicated to finding a cure for HIV infection. Consultant Physician, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, running an HIV clinic and contributing to acute medical services.
