Kate Dunjane

Global Shaper, Cape Town Hub

Kate Dunjane is a Senior Tax Advisor at a multinational financial services company. Kate’s passion about personal development/mastery as the cornerstone to sustainable authentic leadership development on the continent is the driving force behind her desire to contribute to unleashing the talent and human capital potential of Africa's demographic dividend, its youth. Her commitment to developing Africa’s youth, especially young women, is evidenced by a number of roles she has played and positions she has held across various organisations. Most notably, Kate committed herself as an Executive Committee member of the Lean-In Circle at UCT - a global initiative dedicated to helping women achieve their ambitions. She's also completed her tenure as a Mentor at Dream Girls Academy, a non-profit organisation committed to educating and mentoring young girls from disadvantaged communities. She is currently mentoring university students at Allan Orbis Foundation. At her organisation, Kate leads the regional chapter of an organisation-wide initiative she founded, aimed at driving and increasing the inclusion and engagement of Millennials within the organisation. This initiative led to the establishment of the organisation's first ever Young Executive Board of which Kate sits as a member. In the Cape Town Hub, Kate leads a project aimed at the personal and professional growth of the Shapers in the hub. Kate believes in leading with an authentic purpose; and that her purpose is advocating for the inclusion and participation of young women and youth in decision making roles, global agendas, solution making and policy building initiatives on the African continent.
