Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, United Bank for Africa Plc

Kennedy UZOKA is the Group Managing Director/CEO at United Bank for Africa(UBA). United Bank for Africa is a leading financial services group in sub-Saharan Africa with presence in 19 countries, as well as the United Kingdom, the United States of America and France. Kennedy is responsible for leading the development and execution of UBA Group's long term strategy.

He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Benin, South-south Nigeria and an MBA from the University of Lagos, South-west Nigeria. Mr Uzoka has over two decades experience covering core banking, corporate marketing communication, strategy and business advisory services.

Prior to his current role, he was UBA Group’s Deputy Managing Director and CEO, UBA Africa managing the country subsidiaries across 18 countries in Africa as well as supervising 3 key strategic support areas in Digital Banking, Information Technology and Personal Banking.

As Deputy Managing Director, he was the Executive in charge of the Group's businesses in New York and London.

He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School(AMP) in Boston USA, the International Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland and the London Business School, United Kingdom.
