March 1999 - October 2004, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tunisia to the UK, jointly accredited to the Republic of Ireland. 2004-06, Director and Chief of staff of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. 2006-07, General Director, Political and Economic Corporation with Europe and the EU. December 2007 - June 2011, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tunisia to the Russian Federation, jointly accredited to the Ukraine and former Republics of the Soviet Union. July 2011 - April 2012, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. January 2015 - January 2016, Diplomatic and Foreign Affairs Adviser to the President of the Republic. 6 January 2016, appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs. Officer of the Republic Distinction.
