Kristin Peterson is a tech and social entrepreneur whose focus is accelerating Internet access in emerging and frontier markets. She is the Co-Founder/CMO of Volo, a tech start-up based in San Francisco that enables new and existing ISPs to bring to market high-speed, affordable broadband for the next billion. Kristin is also the Co-Founder and Chair of Inveneo, a non-profit social enterprise focused on connecting those who need it most via ICTs and the Internet to speed relief and improve education and economic opportunity. Inveneo and its partners have delivered projects impacting the lives of 3M+ people in 25+ countries. Prior to Inveneo, Kristin worked in Silicon Valley at GoRemote and held several positions at AT&T in international and domestic product development, sales and marketing. She has an International MBA from Pepperdine University and a BSCE from New Mexico State University. Recent honors include World Economic Forum Schwab Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award (2013), Advisor to the Clinton Global Initiative Program Committee (2013), Member of Clinton Global Initiative (7 years), ITU World Telecommunication and Information Society Award (2011).
