Joined NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) as a program director in 1988. She has expertise in reporting on a wide range of global issues specially climate change and sustainability. Since 2006, she has aired a number of documentaries as a senior producer. She was the head of NHK's environmental campaign. Current position since 2017. Major Works：“Tackling Climate Change”“Zero Carbon Ahead” “No More Plastic”. She is the Vice Chairman of the Japanese Forum of Environmental Journalists and a member of the Council of the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
