Leen Almasood

Global Shaper, Abu Dhabi Hub

Leen Almasood graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (focus on Marketing) from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada then continued her post-graduate studies in Event Management.
She has over 4 years of experience working as a Senior Communications and Operations Officer at Al Bayt Mitwahid Association (a local NGO that operates within the 7 emirates of the United Arab Emirates). She has worked with different community partners and established entities across the country to operate and activate programs that address various community-related topics. Through her work experience, she has developed strong relationships with the youth and other community-focused entities. Leen is also an Inclusion Ally at a new startup called ‘Inclusive’ that is a first-of-its-kind online platform associated with everything People of Determination (individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities).
During her free time, Leen is very passionate about Triathlon and volunteering through sports: Coached 2 Special Olympic UAE female cycling athletes to compete at the 2019 World Games, Abu Dhabi in March as well as fundraised 2500+ USD for a non-profit that aims to empower women in Afghanistan with sports.
