Leon researches high-speed aerodynamics, for want of a better two word explanation he is a rocket-scientist. Leon also believes that communication of science is important, after all what use is a discovery that dies with its discoverer? In his spare time Leon likes to engage the community through science communication, social justice studies, and informal education. Leon is actively involved in space related research, has given several TEDx talks, is a contributor for Fortune and New Republic (among others), and is actively engaged in several non-profits that promote STEM education and examine social justice problems though human focused data.
