My research is intrinsically inter-disciplinary and it involves the convergence of materials science and chemistry together with cell and molecular biology, which is an exciting frontier for scientific development that holds promise for significant advances in human health.
My research aims to create advanced, high-performance materials for therapeutic delivery and regenerative medicine using biologically inspired paradigms.
My current research direction consists of developing carriers containing multiple compartments as an advanced platform for combinatorial therapy and as microreactors to conduct biological reactions (the so-called artificial cells).
