Spent eight years at Hewlett-Packard (HP) South Africa: Marketing Communications Manager; oversaw the Corporate Communications progr. for the HP acquisition of Compaq in 2002; directed HP's technology sponsorship of the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development; Government and Public Affairs Manager, resp. for formulating and overseeing HP policy initiatives within the ICT sector and key role in the development of the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Codes; represented HP on the local CEO's committee of the Presidential Int'l Advisory Council (PIAC). 2004-06, Director and Chairperson, NEPAD Business Foundation's (NBF) ICT Sector working group. 2006, seconded by HP to serve as CEO, NBF. 2007, moved to the NBF on a full-time basis as CEO. Has grown the organization and established an office in Mozambique. On the Board of Directors, FANRPAN, a continental organization focusing on impacting policies in the agriculture sector.
