Madhu Koneru is an entrepreneur and businessman based in the United Arab Emirates. He is the Founder and CEO of Kcap Holdings. Madhu is the former Executive Director Trimex Group, a global minerals and metals conglomerate founded in the UAE in 1973 to fill the demand supply gap for quality industrial minerals to the oil drilling industry. He played an integral role in making Trimex Group one of the top value chain providers of industrial minerals for global markets. Madhu Koneru has also established pioneering investments in Indonesia. As Executive Vice Chairman of MEC Holdings, Madhu led the development of one of Asia’s largest Greenfield coal mines and obtained Indonesia’s first private railway license to develop a 130 kilometer long line railway in East Kalimantan Province of Indonesia. Prior to establishing MEC, Madhu Koneru oversaw the evolution of RAK Minerals and Metals Investments (RMMI) into a trans-global $2 billion conglomerate, with interests in Africa, Europe, India and the Middle East. Madhu is a member of the Board of Directors of Alghanim Trimex in Kuwait, one of the largest, privately-owned companies in the Gulf. In 2007, Madhu Koneru was the recipient of Young Asian Achiever's Award by Asian Awards-Middle East (ABA-ME). Madhu has been a member of the World Economic Forum since 2009. Madhu is a regular speaker at cross-regional forums and conferences including the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Economist Summits in Indonesia, the APEC CEO Summit and the Boao Forum for Asia.
