She is interested in financial inclusion and women empowerment. At the age of 17, she developed a microfinance pilot programme in Sinaloa. Ever since, she has been advocating for women empowerment in different summits and workshops.
-She is FiLi Co-Founder, a Financial Literacy Programme and education platform that aims to help youth to increase their financial resiliency in Latin America. This initiative was created at Shaping Horizons Summit, the first international summit at Cambridge University.
- Magdaly created Financiera Mente a platform for discusing financial inclusion from a gender perspective aimed at empowering women through finanial education and networking.
-Magdaly comes from a rural community area in Northern Mexico and was the first person of her faimly to attend university with a full ride scholarhip to study Economics at ITAM in Mexico City. Recently, her story became viral on social media and has been sharing her experience. Advocating for other women from rural communities in order for them to also attend school and achieve financial empowerment.
-Finally, Magdaly is a former co-curator of Mexico City Hub and helped to guide and develop Hub projects as Igualdad Ya, Women Empowerment in Xochimilco, Trans Community and the call for shapers applications in 2021 and 2022.
