Maha Hosain Aziz

Professor, Author, Keynote Speaker and Cartoonist of Global Risk & Prediction, Master's Programme in International Relations, New York University

Dr Aziz is a professor, author, keynote speaker & cartoonist focused on global risk & prediction at NYU's MA International Relations Program; on occasion she still consults via the world's first crowdsourced consultancy Wikistrat and other networks. Her first book on global risk, FUTURE WORLD ORDER (2019/2020), won seven global awards (from 2019-2021, she donated 15% of her profits to her brother's memorial fund for Syrian refugee youth via charity Peace & Sport); its sequel A GLOBAL SPRING is out in 2022. Her 2016 political comic book which she drew for tweens and teens, THE GLOBAL KID, won seven education awards (all profits to education nonprofits and her brother's memorial fund); its sequel of the same name – the world's first VR/AR political comic book for tweens – launches in 2022 and is in partnership with London-based edtech partner Musemio, with important contributions from Rome-based AR Market. She is a Jordanian-born Pakistani who grew up in the Middle East (Jordan, Saudi Arabia), Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia), Europe (UK, Greece) & the US. And she is a social scientist trained at Brown (BA), Columbia (MA) & the LSE (MSc, PhD).
