Mai Shbeta

Mai is an Entrepreneur, Human Rights Lawyer & Mediator. She was born and raised in Wahat al Salam-Neve Shalom (Oasis of Peace), the only intentional Jewish-Arab village in Israel and Palestine. Her mother is Jewish-Swiss band her father is Palestinian-Muslim. Since she was young, Mai has been active in programs that promote peace, leadership, and human rights in different organizations around the world.
Mai works with several NGO's in different fields. The main organization she's currently working with is a collaboration with the Harvard Negotiation Project on supporting leadership across the Middle East in managing their most complex negotiations.
Mai is also an active board member of the Fyera foundation where she is working on: an initiative to help solve the political crisis in Nicaragua, a trauma relief program to support Syrian refugees and projects seeking to eliminate human trafficking.
Mai completed her legal internship at Michael Sfard's human rights law office in Tel Aviv, after which she focused on the mediation-negotiation field of Israeli-Palestinian relations. In particular Mai is promoting business opportunities and meetings between Israeli and Palestinian business people with shared interests in order to create crucial relationships and promoting the Palestinian Economy.
