Studies in Architecture, ETH Zurich. 1982-87, Assistant Professor, Harvard University; 1987-94, Associate Professor, University of Southern California; Los Angeles; with ETH Zurich: 1994-97, Assistant Professor; doctoral dissertation on technic and form in theory of architecture awarded ETH silver medal; since 1987, full Professor of Architecture and Design; research activities emphasise working out strategies to support sustainable urban development processes and dynamic forces involved in formation and transformation of a city; practicing architect with offices in Los Angeles and Zurich, one of latest projects involves Midfield Docks, as part of fifth expansion phase at Zurich Airport.
