Marco Dunand is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Mercuria Energy Group, one of the world’s largest independent energy and commodities companies operating in more than 50 countries along the entire commodities value chain with a balanced combination of commodity flows and strategic assets.

Mercuria has over 1000 professionals worldwide to sustain the Group’s extensive business reach with their market knowledge, diversity, and experience. Strategic acquisitions in physical commodities, gas & power, marine fuels, and bunkering have reinforced its position as a global leader in trading physical energy products and dry bulk commodities. The Group’s talent and culture have also made it one of the most active players in the sustainable and renewable energy markets, where it has invested over $2 billion USD in the energy transition in the US and Europe and in breakthrough technologies globally.

Prior to co-founding Mercuria in 2004, Marco held senior positions at Goldman Sachs, Citi Group and Sempra Energy. He is Swiss and a graduate of the University of Geneva’s School of Economics and Management.
