Vice Chair and Managing Director, 2pointzero

H.E. Mariam AlMheiri is the Vice Chair and Managing
Director of 2PointZero, where she leads the Group’s
strategic engagement, global positioning, and longterm
investment agenda. She served as 2PointZero’s
first Chief Executive Officer when it was launched in
early 2024, leading the Group through its
establishment and transition into a publicly listed
company operating across key sectors that shape the
new economy, including energy and consumer
platforms, with AI embedded across the Group’s
operations.
Before joining the private sector, H.E. Mariam played a
central role in shaping the UAE’s environmental, food,
and water security policies. As the former UAE Minister of Climate Change and
Environment, and previously Minister of State for Food and Water Security, she led
national efforts to advance innovation and safeguard essential resources. She is widely
recognized for her leadership across future-focused sectors, driving scale and
harnessing AI for good to unlock long-term economic and societal value.
In addition to her role at 2PointZero, H.E. Mariam is the Head of the International Affairs
Office at the UAE Presidential Court, where she advances international cooperation
through science diplomacy and cross-border partnerships that strengthen global
resilience. This includes her leadership of the Emirates Polar Program and the UAE–
Gates Partnership for Global Agricultural Innovation.
H.E. Mariam is Chair of Mawarid Holding and the Ne’ma National Steering Committee,
and serves on the boards of First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Modon Holding, McLaren
Group Holding, and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, and is a Member of the
International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council. She is also a dedicated advocate
for women’s health and wellbeing.
Outside her official roles, she is a passionate pianist and a former elite show-jumping
athlete who represented the UAE internationally. H.E. Mariam holds both a Master’s
and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Rheinisch-Westfälische
Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen in Germany.
