Marko Paloski is a senior system engineer from North Macedonia, currently working at Netcetera. Graduated from Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering in Skopje, he is also actively involved in Internet governance, serving as the coordinator for the national IGF MKD initiative under the UN IGF (Internet Governance Forum) Secretariat. Also serving as Steering Committee for Eastern Europe in the Youth Coalition on Internet Governance, part of the organizing committee of the Youth School of SEEDIG (Southeast Europe Dialogue on Internet Governance), board member and representative of the Club Alpbach Macedonia at the European Forum Alpbach, Youth Ambassador at World Summit Awards, and past Impact Office at the Shapers Hub Skopje.
His key areas of interest include cybersecurity, privacy, platform regulation, entrepreneurship, community building and youth empowerment. Paloski has been engaged in various civil society organizations, focusing particularly on youth mentorship, activism, entrepreneurship and development in these fields. He is involved in forming several communities and supporting them through the years like Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors, Google Developer Groups, Macedonian United Nations Association, Club Alpbach Macedonia and more.
As a tech person, he is also involved in policy making and is a big activist for digital rights, was part of several programs and projects focusing on drafting policy proposals and implementations on the Internet. Part of the International Telecommunication Union Generation Connect Europe Group working on Cyber security and Internet Regulation policy, part of ICANN working on DNS Abuse and Top-Level Domains, part of the Internet Society working on encryption and rural internet access working groups. Via the IGF MKD he is involved in the BIRN (Balkan Investigation and Reporting Network) CEE Digital Rights network. Open Internet for Democracy Leader fellow program from NDI, CIPE and CIMA.
Marko has done live speaking sessions on youth involvement, internet, digital rights, mentorships as part of the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador mentors, Internet Society Youth Fellows and MCW 2year mentorship for changemakers on community projects. Serves as judge on Microsoft Imagine Cup Junior and World Summit Awards Innovative ideas competition.
