Matthias is a Program Director at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, one of Germany's leading Business Schools. He runs the School’s Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration, a program with some 950 students.

A political scientist by training, he has held positions in various organizations, including academia, an intergovernmental organization, and the World Economic Forum.

He is also the founder and Charter President (2017-18) of Professional Speakers Frankfurt, an Advanced Toastmasters Club for Frankfurt, the Rhine-Main metropolitan region and beyond.
