MFA, Art Center, Pasadena, California. 1993, returned to Taiwan; developed practice as an artist working with the artist collective IT Park. 2002-03, Resident, Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris. Since 1999, has exhibited internationally, including: Venice Biennial (2001), Istanbul Biennial (2001), Kiasma Museum, Finland (2001), PS1 Contemporary Art Center, New York (2004), Mori Art Museum, Tokyo (2004), Lyon Biennial (2005 and 2009), Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo (2007), Vancouver Art Gallery (2010), Singapore Biennial (2011), Auckland Triennial and California Pacific Triennial. Has created public commissions worldwide, which can be seen at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary art, Kanazawa, Japan, Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing, China, Kunstlinie Theater/Art Center, Almere, The Netherlands, Rogaland School of Art, Stavanger, Norway, L'ecole des Cigales, Beausoleil, France, the City of Gent, Belgium, Kyusyu University, Japan and at the Leem, Samsung Museum, Seoul, Korea. Projects are currently on view at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Vigo, Spain, The Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, MA, and The Orange County Museum of Art, Newport Beach, CA, US.
