Michael Waiyaki is the Founder & Ceo of Miti Alliance Ltd www.miti.co.ke. A social enterprise whose focus is on planting and growing trees across Kenya. Miti Alliance focuses on working through schools and communities to train the young on building up tree nurseries, maintaining them, planting the trees and taking care of them to maturity. In his engagement with schools Michael has also served the acting National Director of Young Scientists Kenya www.ysk.co.ke across Kenya's 47 counties working with high schools in STEM projects. Michael has also served as Country Manager, Givewatts (www.givewatts.org), a social enterprise that implements and monitors its own distribution and work in renewable energy solutions across Kenya and Tanzania. It distributes these solutions to people lacking access to electricity and sets up a distribution network for household solutions. Michael is also a past Curator, of Global Shapers Nairobi Hub.
