Mine has always been passionate about having a positive impact in the world, which she believes starts with one’s own community. With this passion, she has been selected to attend United World College (UWC) at the age of 16, an institution with a mission of using education as a force to unite people and nations for peace and sustainable feature. Her UWC experience formed the basis of her social engagement work and career choices. She studied her bachelor’s in Human Genetics at UCL, London and her master’s in Genomic Medicine at University of Cambridge. Her dedication to the field of Human Genetics is driven from its potential to improve lives by providing novel therapy, diagnosis and prevention options. Currently, she is working at Istanbul Technical University as a researcher on identifying genes underlying rare diseases.
