Mitchell received my Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies with an emphasis in Political Economics and Environmental Change and minored in Sociology from the University of Minnesota in. His academic focuses were primarily on the intersections of education and peace-building; answering questions about how we can better build shared values and identity in our education systems. He currently works at H2O for Life overseeing educational programs that empower youth to take on the global water crisis. He also works part-time as a teaching artist at the Loft Literary Center where he teaches classes on personal narrative, which he believes is important for creating understanding between people.
