Muhammad Waqas

Global Shaper, Peshawar Hub

Muhammad Waqas, 30, born and raised in Peshawar, is currently serving as an Administrative Assistant at IMSciences, Peshawar. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Bacha Khan University, Charsadda, and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Governance and Public Policy with a focus on environmental governance and science diplomacy from IMSciences. His ongoing MS research centers on climate adaptation, exploring governance strategies to enhance resilience at the community level.

Mr. Waqas has previously served as the Youth Agriculture Minister for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and has led initiatives in Community Policing. He is an active member of the Youth Council of Alpha Think Tank Pakistan and the Global Shapers Community (Peshawar Hub). A former Youth Parliamentarian, Mr. Waqas is deeply committed to advancing public policy, improving government systems, and fostering peace and conflict resolution.
