Nadeem Meghji

Global Co-Head, Real Estate, Blackstone Group

Nadeem Meghji is a Senior Managing Director and Head of the Americas for Blackstone Real Estate, which manages $120bn of equity capital globally. In his role, Nadeem oversees a large team of investment and asset management professionals in New York, Los Angeles and Sao Paolo.
Since joining Blackstone, Nadeem has led its successful expansion into new sectors including apartments, life science office, and affordable housing, and has helped lead over $50 billion of transactions. Nadeem has also played a significant role in overseeing Blackstone’s expansion into new investment products in the U.S. This strategy involves a more modest risk profile, longer hold periods and today is one of Blackstone's fastest growing areas.
Nadeem was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a first generation Canadian whose parents emigrated to Canada in the 1970s when their community was largely expelled from their home in East Africa. Nadeem moved to the U.S. from Canada in 1998 for college and received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He received a JD from Harvard Law School and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Nadeem is a board member for the Lupus Research Alliance and is the Founder and Co-Chair of the annual Rally Against Lupus awareness event.
