Dr. Nancy Vandycke is Economic Advisor of the Transport Global Practice at the World Bank Group. She is the founder and currently heads “Sustainable Mobility for All”—a global platform that unites 50 transport organizations worldwide around a common vision and action plan to change the future of mobility. This initiative is hosted by the World Bank, and partners include development banks, UN agencies, business associations and civil society.
Dr. Vandycke also leads the strategic and global analytical portfolio of the Bank in transport, including climate action, impact evaluation and global tracking framework. She is a member of the Multilateral Development Banks’ Group on sustainable transport, and the United Nations Secretary General's High-Level Technical Committee on Transport. Her experience and portfolio include strategic financing of infrastructure projects, program evaluation, and policy advice to governments in developing countries in the transport, water, energy, and education sectors. She started her professional career at the International Monetary Fund and was adjunct professor of economics at Georgetown University. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from London School of Economics.
